Vaughn Software Services grew out of a demonstrated need for class management software at the school where my daughter was taking gymnastics. They were spending an enormous amount of time and effort trying to manage 400-500 kids by hand. Because my background and training is in developing computer software, I knew there was a better way of doing things. After unsuccessfully trying to find a reasonably priced and well developed product on the market, I decided to meet the need myself and develop my own product. That was in 1990. Since then, I have talked to literally thousands of schools of many types and sizes, and Class Control has been influenced by every one of them. Even if the school didn't purchase Class Control, the features and requirements we discussed often found their way into Class Control. And I've always listened to my customers when they tell me about things they would like to see to make their lives easier.

My name is Bob Vaughn. I received a BS degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University in 1972, and I've been working as an application systems developer ever since. I've worked for government agencies, hospitals, and manufacturing companies and I've developed many, many systems both large and small, simple and complex. In 1995, I left corporate industry to devote full time to Vaughn Software Services and Class Control. All the knowledge I've gained over the years has been applied to make Class Control powerful, yet easy to use; specific to requirements, yet flexible as requirements change. And I love what I do!
